Scottish cellist|composer and ZoneOut Festival alumnus Peter Gregson’s music has been featured in the Netflix series Bridgerton. The major music placement comes as Gregson releases a spellbinding live-in-studio album recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, entitled An Evening at Capitol Studios.

BRIDGERTON SOUNDTRACK
Peter Gregson’s track Cello Suite No. 6 in D Major, BWV 1007: VI. Gigue from his 2018 album Bach: The Cello Suites Recomposed has received a prominent placement in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton. The series’ soundtrack consists mostly of stripped back, string quartet arrangements of contemporary pop songs.
AN EVENING AT CAPITOL STUDIOS
Released by Deutsche Grammophon, Gregson’s new album An Evening At Capitol Studios features six live-in-studio performances from Gregson’s 2018 release Bach: The Cello Suites – Recomposed.
The album was recorded in January 2020 at the celebrated Capitol Studios at Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood, a place where many musical icons – such as Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Nat King Cole – have also recorded.

ABOUT PETER GREGSON
Peter Gregson is a British composer and cellist ‘working at the forefront of the new music scene’ (The New Yorker), and is an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon recording artist.
Gregson has released four studio albums: Terminal (2009), Lights in the Sky (2014), Touch (2015) and Bach Recomposed (2018). In between, he has undertaken commissions for stage and screen: films (including Alan Rickman’s A Little Chaos, Roger Michell’s Blackbird) ballets (for companies including Ballet BC, Joffrey Ballet, Dutch National Ballet) and toured extensively around the world, from a rooftop club in Hong Kong to The Royal Albert Hall, London; the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg to Big Ears Festival, Knoxville TN.
Gregson’s music recently underscored Paolo Sorrentino’s cult HBO/Sky series The New Pope, and is regularly used in campaigns including Balenciaga, Ralph Lauren, and Pat McGrath. He has recently completed a new ballet for Theatrehaus Stuttgart / Gauthier Dance with choreographer Cayetano Soto. He is currently writing his fifth studio album for release in 2021.
Peter Gregson appeared at the inaugural ZoneOut Festival held at Carriageworks in Sydney in 2019, where he presented a selection of works from his album Bach: The Cello Suites – Recomposed accompanied by 5 cellists.
